As part of the Global Women in Leadership Alliance™, we recognize and celebrate women who demonstrate outstanding qualities, exceptional performance, and meaningful contributions to our leadership community. Through our peer-to-peer mentorship and coaching system, members support one another’s growth while showcasing their own leadership impact. Each year, we identify the “Top 100 Women in Leadership” — a distinguished group selected for their commitment to excellence, collaboration, innovation, and service within the Alliance. These prestigious awards are presented during our Annual Global Conference, where we honour the remarkable achievements and influence of women who exemplify the highest standards of leadership.

AWARDS CRITERIA FRAMEWORK
The Top 100 Women in Leadership Annual Awards recognize outstanding women across the Alliance who embody excellence in leadership, mentorship, contribution, character, and impact. These awards celebrate women who not only excel personally but elevate others through example, collaboration, and service.
This Awards Framework provides a clear, transparent evaluation structure for nominations, assessments, and final selection.
1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible, nominees must:

Be an active member in good standing of the Global Women in Leadership Alliance™
-
Have participated in Alliance activities, mentorship, or leadership circles
-
Demonstrate alignment with the Alliance’s values: integrity, excellence, empowerment, collaboration, and global leadership
-
Have shown consistent leadership performance during the award year
2. CORE EVALUATION CATEGORIES
The Top 100 recipients will be selected based on performance across five core leadership dimensions.
Each category carries a 20% weighting for balanced evaluation.
A. LEADERSHIP EXCELLENCE (20%)
Nominee demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities, including:

Vision, strategic thinking, decision-making
-
Ability to inspire, guide, and influence others
-
Professional growth and leadership accomplishments
-
Ethical conduct and integrity
-
Modeling the values of the Alliance
Evidence may include:
Leadership roles, initiatives led, results achieved, peer comments, or professional accomplishments.
B. CONTRIBUTION TO THE ALLIANCE (20%)
Nominee makes meaningful contributions to the community through:

Active participation in meetings and discussions
-
Supporting group projects or initiatives
-
Sharing knowledge, resources, or expertise
-
Upholding a positive, empowering group culture
Evidence may include:
Attendance records, engagement levels, referrals, volunteering, or community-building actions.
C. PEER-TO-PEER MENTORSHIP & COLLABORATION (20%)
Nominee demonstrates a commitment to lifting others through:

Mentorship and coaching of peers
-
Encouraging collaboration and inclusiveness
-
Sharing experience to help others succeed
-
Supporting new members and guiding emerging leaders
Evidence may include:
Mentorship logs, testimonials, peer feedback, or examples of collaborative efforts.
D. PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH (20%)
Nominee shows clear progression in personal development, career growth, or business success, including:

Completion of training, masterclasses, or leadership programs

Demonstrated improvement in confidence, mindset, or leadership ability
-
Career advancement, new business endeavors, or major achievements
-
Resilience in overcoming setbacks
Evidence may include:
Achievements, project milestones, certifications, or before/after progress.
E. IMPACT & INFLUENCE (20%)
Nominee creates measurable and positive impact inside or outside the Alliance through:

Community leadership or advocacy

Industry influence or thought leadership

Volunteerism, philanthropy, or social impact
-
Innovation, new ideas, or positive transformations
Evidence may include:
Impact stories, media presence, client success stories, or community contributions.
3. NOMINATION PROCESS
A. Who Can Nominate?

Members may nominate themselves or another member
-
Leadership team members may also submit nominations
-
Anonymous nominations are not accepted
B. Submission Requirements
A complete nomination must include:

Nominee’s full name and contact details
-
Summary of contributions and achievements
-
Supporting evidence (examples, testimonials, impact statements)
-
Selection of one or more core leadership categories demonstrated strongly
4. SCORING SYSTEM
Each nominee will be evaluated on a 100-point scale, based on the five core evaluation categories:

A minimum score may be set annually depending on nominations received.
5. SELECTION PANEL
The selection committee will include:

Panel members must maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout the process.
6. FINAL SELECTION & RECOGNITION
The Top 100 Women in Leadership will be:

Notified privately prior to the announcement

Recognized at the Annual Global Women in Leadership Conference

8. REVIEW & AMENDMENTS
